In what many are now calling the first real blunder of his presidency, Joe Biden is on the hot seat for comparing Texans to Neanderthals.
"Look, on behalf of all Americans, I'd like to formally apologize for my careless words in comparing Neanderthals to Texans", said President Biden today at a press breifing. "My words were unkind. My behavior was wrong and it certainly didn't promote unity. Neanderthals have been oppressed for a long, long time and they deserve better treatment than to be labeled Texans or Mississippians. I will do better in the future at not continuing with harmful and insensitive stereotypes when referring to minority groups, like the Neanderthals." After his apology, President Biden went on to clarify what he was initially trying to say, in his remarks regarding Texas and Mississippi governors making the decision to reopen their states and remove the mask mandates. "Look, we think these clowns are idiots, and I mean absolutely no offense to clowns or idiots when I say this. I mean, come on man! Trust the science. Yes, the scientific evidence continues to show that masks have done very little to stop the spread of COVID, but that doesn't mean we can just ignore the science or the mask mandates. These halfwitted GOP dolts are going to get people killed, and I sincerely mean no harm to any other halfwits or dolts. We must trust the experts. And what the experts are now telling us, even though they've been very, very wrong in the past is that masks are a crucial component to being able to control people and break down their sense of freedom and individuality." "We forgive President Biden, but we not forget hurtful comment he make about cave people", said Gork--a spokesman from National Association for the Advancement of Neanderthals (NAAN). "For long time, caveman treated as big dummy. Caveman treated like idiot who die because his brain too small to not get crushed by woolly mammoth. But to compare caveman to Texan is a new low and it hurt Gork's feelings and made Gork cry. Gork and friends want world to know that even though we not smart people, we still have feelings." Not all Americans were as willing to accept the President's apology as Gork seemed to be.
