Tom Brady has 99 problems, but a mask ain't one! That's right folks, Tom Brady is Going back to the Super Bowl. This will make his 10th time to play for the prized Lombardi trophy in his 21 year career. This means that Tom Brady has gone to the Super Bowl in 47% of the seasons he has played in the NFL. That being said, not everyone is happy about it and I'm not only talking about the Patriot's fans who feel betrayed by Tom's decision to leave New England and take his talents and his leadership to Tampa Bay or those fans who already hated him because of the dynasty he helped create in New England. I'm talking about new detractors who were triggered, when they were forced to witness a smiling and maskless Tom Brady, celebrating after the game. So, while Brady readies himself for another Super Bowl, and news that his own mom and dad battled COVID-19—back in September—hits media outlets today, we still find ourselves knee deep in a reality where individual liberty is shamed by those who believe everyone must kowtow to the demands and expectations of those who cry the loudest. "Shame on you Tom Brady", said one former fan on Twitter. "Your parents almost died from COVID-19 and you still refuse to care. Not cool man. Not cool at all." This was one of many comments that hit social media, while Tom Brady and his team (who all appeared to be masked up) were celebrating the NFC Championship.
"I just can't believe it. I loved Tom Brady so much", said another former fan on Twitter. "I was sad when he left the Patriots for Tampa Bay, but I stood by him when many of my family and friends turned on him. But now I'm angry! To see him there, with that smug smile on his maskless face, it just really goes to show you that he really only cares about himself. He's greedy. He's a narcissist. He wants his grandma to die. And he probably voted for Donald Trump." Asked in a reply if she would be cheering for the Kansas City Chief's in the Super Bowl, this fan replied, "Of course. I can't in good conscience cheer for Tom Brady, now, can I? He's a disgrace. What an embarrassment to America and to the world at large. I hope The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose by 30 points!" |
