CLEVELAND WORKED HARD TO ENSURE THEIR NEW LOGO WASN'T OFFENSIVE, WHICH ALSO MEANS IT SUCKS.

Cleveland, OH (Wokeville Gazette) — It's been a long time coming, but The Baseball team formally known as racist, has released their new name and logo which will allow it to walk away from its racist past into the brave new utopian world of Major League Baseball.

"We are so delighted in our efforts", said a spokesperson from the Cleveland Guardians (aka Indians). "We worked extremely hard to ensure our new logo couldn't be considered offensive to anyone".

Not everyone was happy with the decision. Social media had a large range of reactions to the new team name and logo, as soon as it was announced by the team.

"Seriously", said one avid Cleveland Indians fan. "I can't believe this is the best they could come up with. It looks ridiculous. The New York Met's will no longer be the laughing stock of baseball. We will". 

"We understand this logo isn't going to capture the same excitement that our former, racist logo did", said Cleveland Baseball Team's spokesperson. "How do you compete with a logo of one of Major League Baseball's most historic baseball teams. However, to be fair, this isn't the best we could do. The best we could do was the Cleveland Indians, but that was cancelled. So, technically this is the second best we can do".

Like with all major decisions, change is difficult to accept. However, there is a history that seems to indicate fans will eventually move beyond the cancellation of their beloved Cleveland Indians baseball team and embrace, however reluctantly, their new franchise. However, it is safe to say that when a team is forced to ensure that a team's name and logo have no possibility of offending anyone, they're likely going to offend everyone.
