'ENOUGH, IS ENOUGH'. BATMAN IS NO LONGER WILLING TO PROTECT GOTHAM CITY, FROM ITSELF.

Gotham City, NJ (Wokeville Gazette) — It was a long time coming, but it appears that Gotham City may have finally brought the Dark Knight, to his breaking point.

"Look, even heroes have limits", said Bruce Wayne. "I've lived through Joker, Two Face, the Penguin, Cat Woman, the Riddler, and even Dr. Freeze. I've given my absolute all and put my life on the line many times. I have done my very best to make a clear distinction between the villains and the regular people of Gotham City, in order to protect the remnant of human decency and dignity which remained in this God-forsaken city".

However, as it appears in this circumstance, there seems to be no divergence between the villains, who are seek to destroy morality and normalcy and the ordinary people. They all desire the same thing; namely, the end of decency and the celebration of depravity. And for the Dark Knight, this was the final straw.

"You have a legitimate chance of saving people from bad men and women who desire to destroy them, but you have no chance of saving people who are hellbent on destroying themselves", said Mr. Wayne. "It is clear to me that this city wants help only for the things it determines to be evil. However, my conscience will not allow me to ignore the unapologetic perversion that is not only pervasive, but is also celebrated as if it is some kind of virtue".

Bruce Wayne, who is Batman, was speaking specifically of Mayor Mitchell's decision to dress up the Bat Signal in rainbow colors to celebrate the kick off of Pride Month; the month chosen to honor and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. 

"For Master Wayne, it's an issue of conscience", said Alfred Pennyworth a longtime family friend of the Wayne's. "Ever since Master Wayne was a little boy, he's had a extremely sensitive conscience when it comes to good, evil, and morality. As a vigilante, he's seen the dangers of allowing just a little bit of evil to go unchecked. And when that evil is celebrated as if it's good, he of all people understands where that leads a community and a civilization".

It is unclear whether or not Bruce Wayne will be moving out of Gotham City and whether or not he will bring the Dark Knight persona with him if he chooses to go. However, what we know for sure is the citizens of Gotham City are now left to fend for themselves, against all enemies of good; including themselves.
