JOHN CENA APOLOGIZES FOR SUGGESTING THAT MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, HE IS STRONGER THAN XI JINPING.5/27/2021 Hollywood, CA (Wokeville Gazette) — Actor John Cena found himself in a bowl of hot and sour soup, which eventually led to him issuing another apology to China.
While being interviewed on a Chinese entertainment television show, Mr. Cena was asked several questions all American guests are asked. It's part of a broader propaganda campaign, by the Communist Party of China (CPC). These questions are specifically designed to humiliate Americans while showing China's superior strength. "Mr. Cena obviously didn't read the memo we sent out to all members of the cast of F9 (The Fast Saga)", said a spokesperson from Universal Pictures. "We know that along with the ability to release our films in China there is are certain expectations of not only how we present America in our films, but also how we speak of China and its leaders". In the interview, John Cena was asked whether he believes he is stronger than Chinese President, Xi Jinping. Unaware that this was a weighted question with a scripted answer, Cena responded based on how he felt rather than how he was supposed to feel. "It was a true shock to us", said one member of the Chinese Government who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity. "Nobody, and I mean nobody, has ever said something so brash and irreverent". And what did Mr. Cena say in his response? He said, "well, I do work out a lot and I am very intentional about my diet and daily workout routines to stay in the best possible shape. So, I think it's possible that maybe, just maybe, I'm stronger than President Xi Jinping". Obviously, this kind of disrespect, which was live broadcasted to every smart TV in China, was a major issue. Fortunately the interviewer was able to recover very quickly by touching John Cena's leg and saying, "Oh, you're so funny! Your jokes are so silly". But members from the CPC and Universal Pictures went into immediate damage control mode. "I was watching the interview live", said the representative from Universal Pictures. "I knew we needed to do something and do it fast, otherwise we ran the risk of China pulling the plug on our ability to release our film in their country". Within an hour, John Cena returned to his social media platforms, which he has been forced to do several times this week, to address the issue. "I made one mistake, I must say right now, very important, I love and respect Chinese people," Cena said "I am very sorry for my mistake. I am so sorry, I apologize. I was wrong to suggest that I was stronger than President Xi Jinping. Obviously, after further reflection, I find my words not only harmful and hateful but also incredibly inaccurate and misinformed." "There is no doubt that Mr. Cena is getting educated", said the representative from Universal Pictures. "Hollywood isn't an easy business, especially when we are talking international relations with the People's Republic of China. We love China. We support China. And we wish nothing but health and prosperity for China and all the Chinese people". |
