LIKE CALEB KENNEDY, ACTOR IS FORCED OUT OF HOLLYWOOD FOR A MASK THAT IS 'TOO RACIST TO BE SCARY'.5/24/2021 Hollywood, CA (Wokeville Gazette) — What do a horror actor and an American Idol favorite have in common? They were both canceled because a mask was deemed, by cancel-culture, to be too racist to be considered scary.
That's right. Much like Caleb Kennedy's forced exit from American Idol earlier this month, Damian Maffei, has been forced to leave Hollywood after his character, Man in the Mask, was considered racist. "Look, anyone paying attention to Hollywood knows that we are a very accepting bunch; especially to anyone who we consider a progressive ally", said movie producer Jason Blum. "Literally anything goes. But not this. It's way too racist and culturally insensitive." Mr. Blum was referring to the character, "Man in the Mask" from the 2018 movie The Strangers: Prey at Night. The character, played by Damian Maffei, is one of three masked psychopaths who stalk and hunt a family of four who are staying at a secluded mobile home park for a night. "We have no problems with senseless violence, murder, gore or profanity", said Hollywood file critic Nell Minow. "These are acceptable violations of human dignity and sensibility, which help communicate emotions and artistic imagery about life and the human condition. But we have no tolerance for anything that could be considered, by anyone within cancel-culture, as racist or insensitive to people of color or other marginalized (non-white or non-cisgendered) people groups." In a similar instance, American Idol favorite Caleb Kennedy, was forced to issue a fauxpology and leave the show in shame because of a photograph—which was taken when he was 12—was recently discovered and pasted all over social media by the woke-mafia. In Caleb's generic and non-descript apology, he took the blame for the photograph and made no efforts to make excuses. "There was a video that surfaced on the internet and it displayed actions that were not meant to be taken in that way. I was younger and did not think about the actions, but that’s not an excuse", said Kennedy in his Instagram post. His mother, Anita Guy, later added a bit of clarity in a statement she submitted to MSM. "I hate this has happened and how Caleb is being portrayed by people online," Guy said. "This video was taken after Caleb had watched the movie ‘The Strangers: Prey at Night’ and they were imitating those characters. It had nothing to do with the Ku Klux Klan, but I know that’s how it looks. Caleb doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. He loves everyone and has friends of all races." "Look, we know Caleb and believe that he meant no harm by his actions 4 years ago when he was an immature 12-year old", said the movie's director Johannes Roberts. When asked about why they decided to cut ties with Damian Maffei, the actor who played the character that is now being portrayed as a KKK member, Roberts continued, "Perception and image is everything in this town and therefore it is much easier for us to simply cut ties with one person than it is for us to try and fight for them. There are literally thousands of other actors and singers who are ready to step in and take their place. So, in the long run we followed our convictions and did what was best for our bottom line. It's sad to see these two young men canceled, for something that has nothing to do with what they were canceled for, but that's how it goes with the woke-mob. You either give them their pound of flesh or they come for you next." As far as Caleb Kennedy, though it certainly seems unfair to be canceled for something that has nothing to do with how it is now being portrayed, many people believe that he will be able to fully recover from one stupid choice; especially since he never even made it. "Look, Caleb's fauxpology went a long way towards healing the wounds he caused by doing something he never did", said Luke Bryan. "It's not fair what happened here, but Caleb has a heart of gold and a lot of talent. I can't say for sure what the future holds for Caleb, but once he has paid his penance and the woke-mafia moves on to their next victim, I'm sure Caleb will be back. And even if he isn't, He's a prime candidate to have a breakout career in the Contemporary Christian music industry". |
