 Prior Lake, MN (Wokeville Gazette) — A local celebrity and podcaster, Michael Freeman Rogers, had grown sick and tired of being the second manliest man on the Podcast (Pugnacious Pilgrim Podcast - available wherever your favorite podcasts are found). After ten episodes of listening to his voice crack, screech, and fail to carry the kind of bass his cohosts did.
"It was embarrassing", said Mike. "Jason would say something and it would just fill my ears with the sweet sounds of masculinity. And then I'd reply and I sounded like a 13-year old school boy, too small for his own gym shoes." Although they were both using the exact same microphone, Mike found a loophole in his contract that allowed him to switch microphones, as long as he paid for it out of pocket. "That's when I got the idea of getting the manliest microphone I could find and afford" said Mike. "I bought the Sennheiser e836. Dang! I love the way that sounds. Even the name of the microphone sounds manlier than Sure 58." Now Mike is chomping at the bit to see how his new microphone will make him sound and how ladylike his co-host will sound compared to him "I can't wait. I'm so excited", said Mike. "I haven't been this excited since I was a 13-year old school boy, too small for my own gym shoes. I really think this is going to be the difference maker. I really think this is going to finally make me sound manlier than Jason does." Only time will tell if Mike's investment was worth it.
