PEW: NON-DISCRIMINATION ZEALOTS ARE MOST WILLING TO DISCRIMINATE BASED ON VACCINATION STATUS.8/17/2021 New York City, NY (Wokeville Gazette) — In a recent Pew Research Poll, it was discovered that the group most likely to discriminate on the basis of vaccination status is the same group which most zealously fights against discrimination.
The survey contained two questions. The first was how supportive a person was of the implementation and requirement of vaccination passports at local stores, restaurants, churches, and other public places. The second question asked whether or not the person had a sign in their front yard stating, "In this house, we believe: Black Lives Matter. Women’s rights are human rights. No human is illegal. Science is real. Love is love. Kindness is everything." When compiling the results of the the two question survey and extrapolating the data, it became fairly clear that those who are most outspoken about non-discrimination are also the most likely to discriminate based on vaccination status. We spoke to Dr. Jürgen Wagner, a psychologist who specializes in cognitive dissonance to try and better understand this phenomenon. "Yes, well these results are rather consistent with the inconsistency we've come to expect in today's culture", said Dr. Wagner. "Much like the fascist behavior of the anti-fascists or the racist behavior of the anti-racists, what we are seeing here is discrimination from those who are most outspoken about the evil of discrimination". Dr. Wagner went on to explain how this pattern of behavior consistently lines up with basic human conduct, for as far back in history as we've been able to measure. "The issue has never been about true conviction. Wokeism and virtue signaling are not new phenomena. The human mind, or rather the human heart, is quite a complex instrument of deception, contradiction, and hypocrisy. What we have come to see, throughout human history, is that kindness and virtue only extend as far as the impact on the individual. Most people are willing to care, so long as their care doesn't impact their every day lives. For example, a man may say he has the conviction that police are racist and should be defunded. However, when someone breaks into his home the data shows that the first call he makes is 911...every single time". Dr. Wagner said the same logic holds true, regarding non-discrimination. "A man is very quick to stand up for things which make him seem virtuous to other people", said Dr. Wagner. "But when the rubber meets the road and his convictions run into his own selfish ambitions, what we see is how quickly these convictions break down in order to serve his own purposes or desire for survival and comfort. That is the difference between signaling virtue and genuine virtue. Those who have genuine convictions, show a pattern of consistency with their convictions regardless of the circumstances or situations they find themselves in". Though there are only a few states which have currently adopted the requirement of vaccination passports in order to be allowed to function in normal public life, what we can see clearly is that regardless how a person feels about discrimination, the new virtuous thing to do is get behind the discriminatory enforcement of vaccination passports. |
