PRESIDENT BIDEN & GOVERNOR CUOMO WERE BOTH PRESENT AND CLOSLY MONITORING THE 'ROYAL DISTRACTION.'

17.1 million people tuned in to watch Oprah's interview with America's Royal Couple. This interview, which included several juicy revelations and one sweet moment where Harry and Megan announced the gender of their unborn child was exactly the kind of distraction President Joe Biden and Governor Cuomo needed.

"That's exactly why both of these men were present and closely monitoring the interview from a distance", said a spokesperson from Biden's administration. "In times like these, it's always good to have some celebrities in your pockets to draw people away from things that matter into the gossip and gabfests that American's truly crave."

Last night's interview was amazing. It pulled in nearly 10 million more viewers than the NBA All-Star Game, which had 7.3 million viewers and 12 million more than American Idol, which had around 5.1 million viewers.

This is the kind of distraction that President Biden and Governor Cuomo both need. While President Biden remains, curiously absent, and then continues to stumble through his press conferences whenever he has them. It has given his critics ample evidence and opportunities to question if he is truly fit for the office. While most of the stings are being pulled by those within the DNC, it is important that Joe Biden presents himself as lucid, cogent, and fit for office. Anything which is able to take the focus off his continued blunders is a welcomed distraction.

As far as Governor Cuomo, as his list of accusers and accusations continues to grow, as well as mounting pressure from both sides of the political isle for his resignation, a distraction is just what was needed.

"Look, Mr. Cuomo loves everyone and has never intended anyone any harm", said a lawyer working for the Governor. "He's a very passionate guy, and those passions rune deep within his soul. It's unreasonable for people to assume that an Italian man would be able to keep his hands off a beautiful woman. It's in his DNA. When the Governor sees a beautiful woman, he can't help himself. He's going to pursue her. And there isn't anything anyone (including the Governor himself) can do to stop it. It's not his fault, he's Italian. And people just need to learn to mind their own business."

Like all scandals, the more you can shift attention away from them, onto other things (especially other scandals) the more likely it is that people will simply forget about them. And the truth is, as it pertains to American politics, if you can point out the sins and shortcomings of other countries, it makes American look pretty good.

We will continue to watch and see how the Royal Family responds to last night's interview, but for now we can clearly see just how thankful President Biden and Governor Cuomo are for this royal scandal.
