President Biden: 'We don't want your thoughts and prayers. We want your guns.'

On Wednesday, President Biden made it clear that American's are sick and tired of thoughts and prayers.

"Your prayers are worthless", said President Biden. "They don't bring our sons and daughters back. They don't bring our parents back. They don't bring our friends and loved ones back. They will not prevent the next mass shooting and they certainly won't take away the pain."

This isn't the first time Democrats have questioned the merit of thoughts and prayers. U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, back in 2019, "What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe".

On Wednesday, President Biden pressed this point even further. "Thoughts and prayers are the rally cries of the apathy", said Biden. "Some people care so very little about hate and destruction and violence that instead of tangible help and action, they only offer meaningless and trite platitudes. Well, here's the truth. We don't want your thoughts and prayers. We want your guns."

Many Americans, or at least one, were elated to see a President who is finally willing to unify the country in times of crisis.

"It's nice to know that we finally have a President who is making efforts to unite our country instead of divide it", said one Biden supporter. "Over the last four years, we've seen nothing but division from the White House. Whenever a situation came, which every single American would be able to recognize as evil, President Trump used it to widen the wedges between his political allies and his foes. Today, we herd the words of a President who understands his job. Instead of furthering the divide, President Biden used his platform and position to draw Americans into real hope and healing."
