Putting a Woman on the Supreme Court is going to set women back decades.

Washington, D.C. — Judge Amy Coney Barrett is on track to become only the 5th woman to sit on the highest court in the United States of America, since the Supreme Court was established in 1789. However, not all women see this as a victory worth celebrating.

"The appointment of this new judge is going to set women back decades", said a liberal user on the Facebook platform. "We have fought so hard to achieve the equality, respect, dignity, and advantages-- which men have enjoyed for centuries--and now we will be forced back into the kitchen to make sandwiches for a bunch of misogynists."

At first glance, one may find it difficult to understand an assertion like this. Looking at Judge Barrett purely at face value, she's a well educated and highly respected judge who has seen success in nearly every profession she has pursued. She has never allowed the fact that she is a woman be an excuse for not advancing and making a name for herself. She has a reputation as a hard worker and has ensured that everyone who works under her is the best opportunities to advance and mature and achieve their goals and dreams.

"I'm just so sick and tired of having my voice silenced by men", said one legal professional we spoke with. "I've spent my entire career being told what I can and can't do, because I'm female. I'm in a profession that has been dominated by men, and every single door that has been opened to me has come becasue I've ripped the knob out of the cold and heartless hand of a male chauvinist pig who was unwilling let go of antiquated sexism. And now we have this woman, who is being elevated to a lifetime position in the the highest court in our country, and there isn't a man to be found who is courageous enough to stand in her way and stop her from destroying what has taken us decades to build. Where are all the 'so called' men at now? It's shameful." 

With little left to do but complain, democrats are now forced to hope and pray for a big blue wave in November. If it happens--as is projected--democrats will be in a position to bring sanity and balance back to Washington, by packing the courts and pursuing the impeachment of the three judges who were appointed to the Supreme Court by Donald Trump; an illegitimate President.
