REALIZING 'DOUBLE-MASKING' WASN'T WORKING, BIDEN PUTS BORDER PATROL UNDER A GAG ORDER INSTEAD.

Desperate times call for desperate measures and things at the border are getting desperate.

Keeping a lid on the facts, at the southern border, has become increasingly difficult for President Biden. Early on in his presidency, he attempted to recommend and mandate the wearing of double-masks, hoping it would keep Border Patrol agents from effectively articulating just how bad the crisis was. However, those efforts fell short and the truth began to make its way onto mainstream media and social media outlets. 

"Joe Biden keeps more kids in cages for longer durations than his predecessor, bars the media from entering the facilities his former boss built, and somehow he isn't declared to be some sort of Hitlerian figure by a wide swath of people asserted Donald Trump was. What gives", said one Facebook user.

This assertion, while absolutely true, is complicating Biden's promise to be different than President Trump; even as his immigration polices have already proven to be an epic failure; three months into his presidency.

"Look, we still feel very confident that this crisis can be managed", said Troy Miller, the Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. "We expected a surge of new voters—I mean asylum seekers—to come across the border, once the tyrannical policies of Trump's administration were lifted. However, we simply didn't expect them to come in the large and steady numbers we've seen over the past several weeks."

This appears to be a crisis that caught Biden's administration by surprise, even though Donald Trump has been warning Americans about the issue at the southern border since he decided to run for office in 2016; with the campaign promise to build a wall.

"We spent so much time telling the American people that President Trump was overstating the severity of the crisis, and politicizing it for his own selfish gain, that we actually started to believe those lies ourselves", said Miller. "With a bit more time, and a lot less media coverage, we should be able to get a handle on this situation, very quickly."

This seems to be the reason that the Biden Administration has enacted a strict gag-order on what Border Patrol agents are able to say to the media. According to NBC News, Border Patrol officials have been told to deny all media requests for "ride-alongs" with agents along the southern land border; local press officers are instructed to send all information queries, even from local media, to the press office in Washington for approval; and those responsible for cultivating data about the number of migrants in custody have been reminded not to share the information with anyone to prevent leaks.

It seems that the real crisis at the border isn't the large influx of illegal immigrants crossing the boarder with unaccompanied minors, COVID-19, and lengthy criminal rap-sheets but rather the ability to control and manage the narrative while keeping the truth locked in cages with all the children.

"As long as we control the information, we control the narrative", said Miller. "If the American people don't know the truth, then they will continue to see this as a win for President Biden. The longer we can keep the truth from reaching the media, the more likely it will be that people will continue to believe the lies they have been fed about Donald Trump's xenophobia, over the past four years. It's a difficult task, but we are more than capable of handling it."
