Senate Democrats Working Harder Than Ever, to Discredit Trump's Still Unnamed SCOTUS Nominee9/21/2020 Washington, D.C -- In the wake of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's (RBG) untimely passing, last Friday, Senate Democrats are working overtime to come up with an action plan to discredit President Trump's nomination for her vacant seat on the Supreme Court. Of course, this task becomes somewhat problematic, since President Trump has yet to nominate anyone for the open seat, but an "all hands on deck" approach is needed to derail any efforts by the President and his allies in the Republican held Senate to replace RBG prior to the election in November.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures", said one Senator we spoke with from California. "We won't be caught with our pants down on this one. This is literally about saving America from being thrown back 100 years into the past!" For many, finding ways to discredit a nominee who hasn't even been nominated yet, seems like an impossible task, but Senate Democrats found a way to use Donald Trump's transparency against him. "President Trump made a grave mistake by compiling a list of possible SCOTUS judges, when he campaigned for President back in 2016," said one representative we spoke with on the Democrat's elite Character Assassination Committee, dubbed 'Team Slander'. "We compare this misstep to when the Allies cracked the German's Enigma code, during WWII. What Trump assumed would gain him some political points with conservative voters has now been turned into our biggest advantage in manufacturing dirt on anyone he chooses to nominate from his list of possible candidates. It's been such a blessing for us and has really helped us gain a serious political advantage." Democrats and their aides have been working around-the-clock, seeking anyone with any connections to or information on the possible nominees. "We are scrubbing yearbooks, hitting up all local law firms and scouring records to try and find anything. We are focusing our efforts with those who have a certain political bent or an ax to grind. These individuals seem to generate the best emotion, which is important when you're trying to manufacture a story and manipulate the masses. We don't yet know what our angle will be, but we have complete confidence that no matter who President Trump nominates for the seat vacated by the late great RBG, we will be ready with dirt that should make Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation pale in comparison." |
