Washington, D.C. (Wokeville Gazette) — At first glance, many supporters of Rep. Rashida Tlaib were confused and unsure if the congress woman from Michigan had a major change of heart.

"I saw the tweet and was like, WHAAAAAAAT", said one supporter. "I really wasn't sure how to interpret it and it kind of made my stomach sink a little bit, to be completely honest".

The tweet in question was in direct response to the death of Daunte Wright, in Minnesota. He as shot and killed, by a police officer, during a traffic stop that turned deadly when the officer accidently grabbed her gun instead of her taser. Social media lit up with claims of racial inequality in policing and black men being killed for the sole crime of driving while black.

It wasn't long before Tlaib weighed in on the situation, with a tweet of her own.

A portion of Tlaib's tweet seemed to have its intended effect; namely, to perpetuate the narrative that police are racist, black and brown people are being intentionally targeted based on their race alone, and systems—like policing, incarceration, and militarization—are evil and beyond repair.

However, there was one portion of the tweet that left some of Tlaib's defenders, confused and defenseless.

"She literally just said that she's done with those who condone government funded murder", replied one confused twitter user (@UterusWars) in a response. "Does this mean she no longer supports government funded abortions?"

For nearly (30) minutes, other confused abortion proponents who also support Tlaib were similarly confused.  "I'm not sure if I should like this post, retweet it, or be angry about it", tweeted another Twitter user (@AngryVagina).

Once the congress woman realized the confusion she caused, she quickly weighed in with another Tweet.

"I was so thankful to see that second tweet", tweeted another twitter user (@OverMyDeadBaby). "Rashida has always been a hero of mine and deep in my heart I knew that we were likely taking her out of context or misunderstanding what she was trying to say."

The clarity was a welcomed addition and within moments after it hit social media all was well in the world again. No abortions were impacted by the initial tweet and children will continue to be butchered in the womb, indiscriminately, as they were before.

"It's safe to say that things have gotten back to normal", tweeted @OverMyDeadBaby. "We had a momentary scare that was quickly resolved with a reasonable explanation. Thank God she was only talking about the murders by police and not by the mothers who need to kill their babies."
